Would you let your child NOT wear a seatbelt?

It was a scary day seven years ago this month when my wife Carrie underwent her lumpectomy and received the news: Breast Cancer.

With the rate at 1 in 8 women being diagnosed with breast cancer each year, we must come to grips with the fact that it won’t always be someone else. The cliche’ can stand no longer.

So what did we do? After all, she survived and is cancer-free today! Hallelujah!

First, Carrie decided that it was her body and that she did not have to undergo chemotherapy and/or radiation. Let this not be construed as medical advice. Just know that each woman has the right to decide for herself.

Next, we got off the Standard American Diet (SAD). We went radical. Eliminated The Five Whites:

  • No Salt.
  • No Sugar.
  • No Meat.
  • No Dairy.
  • No White Flower.

I told you it was radical! We ate fresh, raw fruits and vegetables, whole grains and pretty much stopped buying things that came in bottles, boxes or cans. We shopped the perimeters of the grocery stores. We didn’t go quite so far as to stop eating anything born with a face, but we were close to it.

We also incorporated into our daily diet something that I’ll describe for you below.

Carrie’s been monitored by an oncologist since then and continues to get a clean bill of health!

As good BCers know, Boardman Country is where everyone is entitled to MY opinion! 🙂 I’m always happy to pass that out, sometimes to the chagrin of others.

Today, though, I’m glad to report the opinions of “the experts.” Actually, more than opinions, these are the facts. Did you know that:

  • The U.S. government has spent billions trying to find the cure for heart disease, cancer and other diseases?
  • They have concluded that disease is easier to prevent than it is to cure?

What’s more, there is a fabulous substance upon which has been performed good old expensive, independent, gold standard research. That research proves that this substance does the following:

  • Provides bioavailability of phytonutrients
  • Reduces DNA damage
  • Reduces oxidative stress
  • Enhances weak immune systems
  • Lowers homocysteine levels
  • Protects circulation

All of the above are very good for our health and wellness!

One of the world’s leading experts in infectious diseases, Dr. Richard Dubois (Go ahead, Google him) has said “…realize that except for [this substance] nothing else available anywhere in the world, with or without a prescription can do all that!

It is my opinion ( 🙂 ) that this mystery substance taken in a capsule should be treated by each and every one of us like a nutritional seatbelt!

It is clinically proven to reduce the risk of degenerative disease. Similarly, isn’t that what wearing a seatbelt does for both you and your kids? Reduces your risk of injury or death in the event of a collision?

That’s great news about your wife! I was also raised in a family where we have been choosing other alternative ways of healing – that is using “natural” methods instead of buying off drugs from the pharmacy.

Our family meal is different from the other folks in the here in the Philippines – we ate white rice mixed with red rice, a lot of fruits and vegetables, whole wheat bread, and we do not store any junk food around.

    Thanks for the comment, Gem!

I must say that since the beginning, we have done some tweaking of the dietary lifestyle, but we do try to stay as close as possible to what we started.
