In Which I Introduce The Whole Nuclear Family

Author: Brad  |  Category: Family, General

So a little about me, just so you’ll know right away whether you’ll be able to stand reading my stuff or not.

I was born at a young age in 1955, the day Disneyland opened. Yep! That makes me 53 next month. As for where I was born, that’s not important because I was only in that state (yes, it was one of the United States) for two weeks and I’ve never been back.

Suffice it to say that I’ve spent virtually my whole life here in the Seattle area and, though having travelled through many of the other states, have never found anywhere else I’d rather live.

In August I will have been married to my wonderful wife Carrie for twenty years. Unbelievable!

Now you may be wondering how, if I’ve only been married for twenty years, I could have a 37-year-old daughter. Well, you’ll just have to keep wondering! It’s just one of life’s little mysteries.

Speaking of which, I should probably just get this out of the way right off the bat: I’m the father of Amy, Megan and Dawn. All grown and equally happy with the state of Washington.

I’m the grandfather of: Brittany, Caitlin, Micah, Mason, Victoria, Jesse, Haley, Kerianne, Evan and Kingston.

I’m the great-grandfather of Marissa Marie and whoever that is in the oven. So you can see why I needed Boardman Country! Heck! One of my girls hasn’t even started proliferating yet!

I’m the son of Bill and Audrey.

I’m the oldest of the nine siblings: Kim, Marc, Lisa, Heather, LeaAnn, Susan, Matthew and Bethany. Yep! I was the Guinea Pig.

So you see, since I obviously had no one to talk to, I had to open Boardman Country.

Make yourself at home,
Brad

Love the intro. I was in the USN 82-86 and had to opportunity to visit your area 3-4 times! I love Washington State. I camped with my mom & dad near Mt. Ranier… breath taking country up there. I was a big fan of the show “Northern Exposure” too. You sound like you have a wonderful family, would love to take my husband up there someday, maybe we will get to meet with you and your family. I saved your blog in my favorites, have a great day!

Hey Brad! This is Lynnette. Very neat site. I’m sure we’ll be back. I have some very neat news to share… what is it you are wondering? (NO there will not be another little person born anytime soon. LOL)

I’ve been offered a contract for a novel I wrote several years ago while in Pierce! I’m pretty excited. I’ll tell you more when I see you.

Anyhow, just wanted to check in and say great site. I just checked out two books yesterday from the library about ‘web design’ – we’ll see if I can’t figure out how to do this yet.

    LOL I love you!

  4. Your daughter Says:

I guess I should clarify and say your “middle” daughter in this case. :0P
